Li'l Angels
In their eyes, their innocence, laughter, smiles, cries, their little games, their fights, their complaints, their singing and dancing.....lies the God, lies the peace, lies the happiness...we daily search for.
Orphan "home" as they call it. I always used to wonder, what kind of people are they, who abandon their children? What will happen to the child, who could not even express their hunger? It is saddening. In my definition things should be perfect, no place called orphanage or old-age home.
But reality is not perfect....nothing is ideal.. I have so many friends, who frequent these orphanages, spend time with its inmates….just to share some moments of happiness with them or help them…and definitely a noble thought. Some of them asked me also to go along. I had helped them monetarily sometimes, with whatever I could. But was always reluctant to go there. Thought of going there brought a sad and guilty feeling always. I felt a collective failure in me, as a human being.
But today I tried facing my fears. I went to their home. Yes, they are not alone. they have friends, they have teachers, they have guardians. They are happy. They played with me. They spent time with me. They made me happy. They healed my fears. God's own little angels!
